“Namwhan” snapped up a bronze medal in the Asian Shotgun Championship PDF Print E-mail

 

The Skeet & Trap Shooting Association of Thailand sent 12 skeet shooters, 6 trap shooters and 6 skeet shooters, to participate in the first Asian Shotgun Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Nov. 21st to Dec. 1st, 2011. The teams from Thailand won 2 bronze medals from Women Skeet Individual and Women Skeet Team. "Namwhan" or Nutchaya Sut-Arporn won a bronze medal in the women skeet individual, making 24-25-24 = 73 scores in the qualifying rounds which put her on the top for the final round where Namwhan made 17 scores; therefore, the total scores for her was 90. The Chinese shooter YU, Xiumin's scores were 23-24-24 and 22 in the final round so her total scores was 93, which qualified her to receive the gold medal for the event. The silver medal belonged to another Chinese shooter; WEI, Meng, who made the total scores of 91 (23-22-23) in the qualifying rounds and 23 in the final round). Additionally, another Thai skeet shooter, "Nongwarm" Isarapa Imprasertsuk, was able to make 19-25-24 = 68 and 20 scores in the final round. The total scores of 88 ranked her the top fifth in the competition.

Skeet Men: Jiranaun Hathaichukiat scores 110/125, Pitipoom Phasee scores 109/125 and Thanapat Jangpanich scores 108/125

Skeet Women: Isarapa Imprasertsuk scores 68/75 + 20 (final round ) Natcha Sut-Arporn scores 55/75

Trap Men: Savate Sresthaporn scores 114/125, Pataison Bhotidhat scores 106/125 and Sutee Chonprasert scores 96/125

Trap Women: Janejira Srisongkram scores 64/75, Nanpapas Viravaidya

scores 57/75 and Thitithan Nongpromma scores 55/75
